Tokyo Industries, founded in 1997 by Aaron Mellor, is a dynamic and forward-thinking hospitality group renowned for its unique approach to nightlife, bars, and venues. With a portfolio of 47 cutting-edge establishments across the UK and 7 international locations—including Dubai, Palm Springs, Los Angeles, Croatia, and Ibiza—Tokyo Industries has established itself as a leader in creating memorable, locally-inspired entertainment experiences.
What sets Tokyo Industries apart is their commitment to authenticity and individuality. Unlike conventional chains, they avoid the ‘cookie cutter’ approach, instead focusing on developing venues that resonate with the local community and reflect its unique musical and cultural interests. Their spaces are deliberately unbranded, allowing each venue to have its own character and personality, driven by a passion for music and community engagement.
THEIR VENUES
Their impressive portfolio includes some of the UK’s most iconic venues such as Digital Newcastle (ranked 11th Best Club in the World by DJ Mag), Tup Tup Palace Newcastle, Impossible Manchester (voted the UK’s Best Bar for two consecutive years), as well as Whiskey Down Gentlemen’s Clubs in Manchester, Leeds, and Newcastle. They also co-own FAC251 Factory Manchester, a historic venue located in the former Factory Records Head Office, co-owned with New Order’s Peter Hook.
Beyond nightlife, Tokyo Industries is expanding into food and beverage with exciting new concepts such as Red’s True BBQ in Manchester, Leeds, and Nottingham, along with BrewDog outlets in Headingley and Bradford. This diversification highlights their innovative approach to creating vibrant, community-focused spaces that go beyond just nightlife.
We’re proud to showcase their venues on our platform, offering a glimpse into their unique world of music, nightlife, and hospitality.
